headcanon: the boring perfect self control vampire bella thinks she has is a LIE and at one point she caught human scent mid-hunt and snapped. it made her so wild she had to be restrained to the point where things got ugly
i know edward would never dare to do it and meyer would never dare write it and in canon newborn vamp bella would be far stronger than him...
actually. you know who would be stronger than one young vampire? two old vampires. and who would act practical in a critical situation? emmett
imagine edward and bella heading out for a hunt and emmett being like "do you guys mind if i tag along? i feel like snacking". bella's a little mad at the prospect of suddenly having a third wheel (homegirl wasn't planning on just. hunting) but alice gets a weird hunch and goes "no, no, em should go with you" ok nostradamus. he's going.
fast forward they're in the mountain. bella finds having emmett third-wheeling is not half bad. in emmett's head, lowkey it's bella who's the third wheel after so many decades of him hunting together with edward. but nevertheless, it's so fun with her around. all is good until they catch the scent of an entire group of friends hiking just a couple of miles from here, away from all civilization. emmett and edward stop in their tracks, ready to turn around. bella, her guard down, loses it and stars running towards the group, so they have no choice but to charge at her. while strugging to keep her in place, they try to talk her down but she doesn't listen. she doesn't care, she's strong enough to fight them off, and she fights and claws and hisses and breaks bones of whoever gets in her way because there are so many pulses just a few minutes' run away from her and their scent is so sweet and burning and calling, calling, calling to her
while struggling to restrain her, emmett grunts "we have to disarm her". edward catches the image in his head and shouts "no! you can't literally disarm bella!". well, how the hell do you expect us to stop her from massacring all those hikers? we'll just put her back together afterwards. duh!, emmett thinks, and knows he has to act fast so he goes in while bella's busy yanking away from edward's grip and tears off a limb. or two. all 3 of them may or may not be screaming.
a few moments later edward's pinning bella to the ground, holding her face between his palms, forcing her to look at him. her thrashing is not so effective with limited body parts. part of him wants to yell at emmett but that's kind of low priority. he's holding on to the last of his composure while he looks down at bella's feral expression and chants 'baby. i'm so sorry but i'll give you your leg back after you calm down a bit. i won't be able to outrun you if you go chasing after those people now. please calm down. i love you. hold your breath'
just then she listens, stops breathing and her vision refocuses. for the first time she realizes she was on her way to slaughter a bunch of strangers and she broke the arm of the man she loves at least three times when he tried to stop her. she wants to open her mouth and apologize but that will require her to breathe and possibly go crazy with thirst again. so she stares back at edward's panicked eyes and nods at him, her own red eyes just as full of terror.
then she looks over his shoulder and sees emmett waving her severed leg in the air like it's a baseball bat. "hey, did you know that rose wears the same shoe size?"

iv. ekko x gn!black!reader hcs
Tumblr media
a/n: they got me yall.
sorry for whoever followed me for tlou content we'll be having a brief intermission i'll come back to them in a minute js let me get this out my system đŸ˜đŸ™đŸŸ
warnings/tags: no use of y/n, no mention of reader's features (except for being black, but it's only in a few points đŸ€·đŸŸâ€â™€ïž so it can be read otherwise), arcane s2 spoilers (minor), sfw and nsfw hcs, (oral sex, kinks, riding), in some au where everyone is happy and nothing bad ever happened 😊, never proofread we ball đŸ”„
______________________________________________
sfw:
- i feel like ekko is a bit shy (awkward shy though, not shy-shy...does that make sense) when you first get into a relationship with him, and it's just because he's shocked that he's managed to get with you. at first he's stumbling over words, playing off your compliments, desperately trying to keep eye contact with you but if he does he just keeps smiling because you look so good.
-one time, while riding past you on his hoverboard, you waved at him. he waved back, but even as you walked away his eyes kept following you. if it wasn't for scar warning him at the last second, he would've crashed straight into a wall.
- his cockiness comes later into your relationship, every successful action he does followed by a grin that you roll your eyes at.
-and did y'all see the way he looked at powder in ep. 7? his puppy dog eyes are LETHAL.
-he doesn't even know it either. every time he wants something, he just looks at you with those eyes and murmurs "please, ☆?" you fold so quick.
-(you've tried to learn to resist his eyes as they are what caused you to sprain your ankle in a hoverboarding accident since he begged you to race him. he just wanted to show off, too. he didn't stop apologizing for weeks.)
-he usually doesn't really like people touching his hair. he's fine with the kids doing it from time to time, but in general it's not his favorite thing in the world.
-you, however
-you get a pass because you get it. you know how it feels for your hair to just be like a petting zoo from time to time. you know exactly how to help him care for his hair, so much so that he's stopped doing his own retwists. (not like they stay in for very long, you immediately help him sweat it out 😊)
-he's made a lot of random little things for you, like a small chain necklace with an empty locket. he kind of sucks at wrapping gifts though, so he just handed it to you with a stupid smile while you two were perched at the top of the firelight tree.
-"ekko, this is so cute," you mutter, your bottom lip jutted out in adoration as you inspect the delicately crafted chain. small mistakes here and there, but you loved it.
-he also learned how to sew just so he could make you a bonnet/durag. he even sewed a crude little "e" in the corner of it, and made himself one with your initial in it as well.
-will randomly shadow box you out of no where. it's some form of cuteness aggression or something, because you'll be talking about your day while absent-mindedly twiddling with the hem of your shirt, and suddenly there are fists flying towards you that he knows to never let connect.
-"...ekko, the fuck are you doing?"
-he makes small noises that sound like "shoo" every time his fist flies, watching you stare at him with an unimpressed look.
-saw someone else say this but yeah ekko can't hoop. sorry
-he CANNOT hide his facial expressions. he may tell you one thing, but his face will never lie. if you're out eating and you feed him a bite of your food, you can watch his face contort into one of disgust, so much so that he almost looks offended. upon realizing that he doesn't want to yuck your yum, he'll fix his face into the fakest smile you've ever seen and nod.
-"...ekko, go spit it out."
-you've never seen him reach for a napkin any quicker.
-idk who the arcane universe's michael jackson is but, when he was younger he absolutely learned all the dances.
-probably the biggest softie the world has ever seen. he's very tough in public, but once he closes the door behind you two and climbs into bed with you, he's clinging onto you like a sloth.
-if you like painting your nails, he'll (hesitantly) allow you to paint his nails to match yours.
-(these next few ones are sliiightly for me đŸ€)
-loves when you draw on his arms.
-until he can't get whatever marker you used off of his skin in the shower, so now he's walking around looking like a coloring book with little flowers, hearts, and signatures on his arms.
-he hangs up all the drawings you make of him up along his work space. sometimes he forgets one and leaves it on his desk, so it's a pleasant surprise to find a drawing of himself among scattered and disorganized papers while he was cleaning up.
-has gotten used to you randomly biting him. you'll come up behind him while he's working, and he already knows it's coming when you rest your chin on his exposed shoulder. 2 seconds later, your teeth are sinking into his skin. he just chuckles, but he does ask once.
-"why do you do that?"
-"oh, i dunno. i just like doing it. 's how you know i like you."
nsfw (very brief i'm sorry):
-praise kink. you couldn't tell me otherwise
-loves giving praise, loves receiving praise.
-when he's giving you head, he almost does it for his own pleasure. feeling your hand rub against his undercut while you whine and mutter "fuuuck, ekko, you're so good. don't stop please" is all he needs
-and i'm glad we've all agreed he's a thigh guy too đŸ™ŒđŸŸ
-and IK we say this about every fictional man but HE WHIMPERS.
-he starts off with groans and grunts, but the closer he gets, the more his voice starts to shake and his words start to become whines.
-he looooves when you ride him holy shit
-looking up at you while your face contorts in pleasure is absolutely on his top 10.
-and if you stare into his eyes while you do it? his soul has left thanks!
-in general he loves eye contact. when you look up at him with his length between your lips, you can see his brain start to short-circuit.
-he's definitely the type to make sure you finish first before he even gets to think about his own pleasure.
-he's usually super sleepy afterwards too, but he refuses to lay down for a second until he makes sure you're all cleaned up and comfortable before he's out cold on your chest.

Picture you 2 - C.S
It's me again...and I'm back. Anyways here we go with part two. just ask if you want to be a part of the tag list.
pairing: Modern Cregan Stark x fem!Reader
warnings: none
"Do you picture me like I picture you?"
------------------
"So tell me about this guy that you want to ask you to formal." Cregan asks as he lays on your bed and throws a ball up at the ceiling. You sat at your desk, distracting yourself with homework, something Cregan should be doing. You closed your eyes at his question, hoping to find a quick lie.
"I mean, he's cool." was all you could squeeze out. Cool? that was it. C'mon, if you were going to lie, you have to think of a better one than that. "Cool?" Cregan asked with a cocked eyebrow as he sat himself up. You could feel his stare in the back of your head. You turned to look at him and threw one arm over the back of the chair. The minute you looked at him, all of the adjectives you needed came to your mind.
"Fine, he's smart, very smart. He doesn't give himself enough credit for it. He's tall, He's kind, even though he probably doesn't think of himself that way. He's the type of person that if you didn't have anything, he'd give you the shirt off of his own back." You said in one breath. It didn't take much for you to describe your feelings for Cregan.
He looked at you, shocked at your feelings. He didn't know you felt this strongly about someone. He didn't even really know you liked people like that. "Wow." was all he could say. You rolled your eyes and turned around. "What's his name?" He asked you.
You clenched the pen in your hand, mentally cursing yourself. "Does it matter?" you asked. "He doesn't feel the same way, I really should just drop it. I'll just go to formal for Baela. It was her idea anyway." you continued on. Cregan threw the ball at your back in a playful manner. "What was that for?" you turned around and asked him. All he could do was chuckle and cross his arms. "We're going to get him to ask you out. You don't know how he feels about you. Trust me, I know guys. He's probably thinking the same thing you are. You just have to talk to him."
Boy he was not making this any easier. If he looked close enough at you, you swore he could have either seen a vein in your head or your eye twitch. "Cregan, please. Drop it. I'll just stick with Baela the whole time."
"You can't stick with Baela, Baela will be with Jace." he stated, and he had a point. How were you going to be looking for the mystery guy, when the mystery guy himself was sitting on your bed. "I know what I'll do," he started. "I'll get Jace to help me out. We'll get you this guy on a date in no time."
You could have thrown up. He was already pulling out his phone to text Jace about it. Now not only did you spin this little lie, you've spun it into a web with people. The only thing was you had no idea how to get out.
Baela...
Yes Baela would help you. She was your ride or die, and surely she'd know what to do.
"Hey, look, I'll see you later. Jace and I are going to meet up. He said something about Baela coming over here anyways so I'll let you have your time with her. But seriously, you should keep me updated on this guy. You won't be single for long." he winks at you and you could have melted.
"Idiot"...you thought. "You smart, handsome, kind man...but what an idiot"
----
"So you mean to tell me... you spun this little lie, and you expect me to help you out of it?" Baela asks you as you just explained your situation with Cregan, that has at this point, gone a little too far. "Baela, please, he plans on getting Jace in on this too and I don't know how to explain that the person they have been looking for this whole time has been Cregan himself." you sighed and cradled your head in your hands.
"You should have just been honest with him. Why weren't you?" she asked, pulling your arms away from you. "Because I know he doesn't feel the same. So I might as well get over it now. I'm trying, but now I'm stuck. I wish I would have just not said anything at all." You groaned. Truly, you wish you would had just said you weren't going to go and everything was fine and left it at that. Then you wouldn't be here. But no, you ran your mouth, getting a bit too comfortable.
"How about, I find out how he actually feels and we ease our way into this. I'll be your actual wingwoman." She smiled at you and for a second, you had hope that this would all be resolved. You could get over Cregan and continue on like nothing ever happened.
---
Baela sat next to Jace and Cregan at the dining hall. Cregan and Jace were having their typical conversations as usual, until Jace had to leave for his next class, that left him and Baela together. Now washer chance to move forward. "Cregan? What's this I hear about you helping y/n get a date to formal?"
Cregan smirked and stopped packing his things. "Yeah, she told me about this guy that she likes, and she must really like him. I mean she smiles every time she talks about him. She just won't tell me what his name is or anything. She thinks he doesn't feel the same, but she said he was going to be at the formal, so I was planning on finding him and talking to him myself. A wingman kind of thing, ya know?" He beamed, proud of his plan.
Baela tried hard not to drop her smile. She could not believe this guy. How could he not know it was him. "How do you feel about that?" She asked him. He hadn't been asked that before and it caused his brows to furrow. "I don't think I'm following?"
"How do you feel knowing that you're helping her find someone else?" Baela smirked. Cregan hadn't thought about it. He was more concerned with helping you be happy than he was his own feelings. He cared about you, and if helping you find someone else made you happy, then he'd do it. "Baela, this isn't about me." He deflected as he started to pack his things.
"Cregan, have you talked to Jace about her? I mean about how you feel about her?" She asked him. He hadn't, he hadn't told anyone. It didn't matter to him, he knew you didn't feel the same way. Clearly, to him, you were on the hunt for someone else. Someone that obviously made you smile bigger than he ever has.
His silence answered Baela's question. "I think you need to talk to her before formal. You have two days. I would do it. Don't let this go on any further." She advised him. Cregan shook his head not taking her advice. To his knowledge, you didn't bat an eye at him. He wasn't going to let his feelings get in the way of your happiness, that would be selfish. That is something he was not.
"I'm serious, Cregan. It's worth the shot." Baela said one last time before leaving for home. Cregan had a lot to think about. Did he tell you how he felt? Did he ruin his friendship with you for the sake of feelings? Did he block your happiness with someone else for the sake of his own? He couldn't. So he wouldn't.

The sterile scent of the clinic filled the air as you sat in the waiting room, nervously tapping your foot against the tiled floor. The crinkle of a magazine in your lap was the only thing distracting you from the tight knot in your stomach.
It was a familiar setting—nothing new about doctor's offices, after all. I mean you'd been to the doctor's before. But today felt different. Monumental.
Jake sat beside you, his hand resting on your knee, his thumb brushing small, soothing circles. Every so often, his gaze would flicker over to you, checking in silently. His calm presence should have grounded you, but the nerves were relentless, pulsing under your skin. This wasn’t just any appointment. This was the first time you’d be seeing your baby.
“Breathe,” Jake murmured softly, his voice low so only you could hear. “You’re squeezing the life out of that magazine.”
You glanced down, realizing your knuckles were white as you gripped the edges of the glossy pages.
You let out a shaky breath and loosened your hold, giving him a small smile. “I didn’t even notice.”
“I did,” he said with a teasing grin, but his eyes were soft. “It’s gonna be okay.”
You wanted to believe him. You wanted to feel that same confidence radiating from him, but the fear was still there, gnawing at the edges of your mind. What if something was wrong? What if—
The sound of your name being called jolted you out of your thoughts. You stood up, your legs feeling like jelly beneath you, and Jake rose with you, his hand slipping into yours. His grip was firm, reassuring, as you followed the nurse down the hallway, your heart pounding in your chest.
The exam room was small but cozy, with pale blue walls and an exam bed in the center. The ultrasound machine sat next to it, and just seeing the equipment sent another wave of nerves washing over you. This was really happening.
The nurse smiled kindly, gesturing for you to take a seat on the exam table. “We'll have you go ahead and undress from the waist down. You can lie back and make yourself comfortable. The doctor will be in shortly.”
As you lay back, the flimsy paper sheet thing they had given you covered your midsection down to your thighs. Your stomach twisted with anticipation. Your mind raced with a thousand thoughts, but Jake was there. He took your hand, his thumb tracing small patterns on the back of your hand.
“It’s gonna be okay,” he repeated, his voice steady and calm. “Whatever happens, we’re in this together.”
You nodded, swallowing hard. You wanted to believe him—to trust that everything would be fine—but the uncertainty still clung to you.
Moments later, the doctor entered, a friendly smile on her face as she introduced herself. She explained what would happen at this appointment in a calm, soothing tone, but you barely registered the words. Your mind was too busy spinning with possibilities. Would there be a heartbeat? Would everything look normal?
The doctor dimmed the lights and began preparing the ultrasound machine. Your breath hitched as she spread the cool gel across your abdomen, and you instinctively squeezed Jake’s hand a little tighter. His other hand moved to brush a stray hair from your forehead, his eyes never leaving yours.
“You ready?” he whispered.
“I don’t know,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Jake leaned closer, his forehead almost touching yours. “No matter what, we’ll figure it out. You’re not in this alone.”
His words gave you just the slightest bit of comfort, enough to make you nod as Dr. Bennett pressed the probe gently against your belly. The room went silent for a moment, the sound of the machine whirring softly in the background as the image on the screen flickered to life.
And then you heard it.
A soft, rhythmic thump. Steady and strong.
You blinked, your breath catching in your throat. There it was. The heartbeat. Your baby’s heartbeat.
“There we go,” the doctor said with a smile, her eyes focused on the screen. “Everything looks good so far. Strong heartbeat.”
You stared at the monitor, unable to tear your eyes away from the little flicker of life that appeared on the screen. Your baby. It was so small, just a tiny blip, but it was there. Real. Alive.
Jake’s hand tightened around yours, and when you looked over at him, you saw the same awe mirrored in his expression. His eyes were fixed on the screen, his usual confident, laid-back demeanor replaced by something softer—something you had never seen before.
His lips parted slightly as if he was about to say something, but no words came out. He was just as overwhelmed as you were.
Tears pricked at your eyes, the emotion of it all finally hitting you. You hadn’t realized how much you’d been holding in until this moment—until you saw the heartbeat, heard that steady rhythm, and knew that everything was okay.
Jake finally spoke, his voice quiet but filled with awe. “That’s
 that’s our baby.”
You nodded, too choked up to speak, the tears spilling over. Jake’s hand moved from yours to gently brush them away, his touch tender and reassuring.
“Hey,” he whispered, leaning in closer. “It’s okay. Everything’s okay.”
You nodded again, but this time it wasn’t out of fear or doubt. It was because you finally believed it. Everything was going to be okay.
The doctor smiled warmly, snapping a few images for you to take home before wiping the gel off your stomach. “You’re measuring right on track. I’ll see you again in four weeks, but everything looks great.”
As she left the room, Jake turned to you, his eyes still wide with disbelief but now filled with a quiet kind of joy. “That was
I don’t even know how to describe it.”
“I know,” you whispered, your heart still racing from the rush of emotions. “I can’t believe it either.”
He reached out, gently placing a hand on your stomach, where the gel had just been wiped away. His touch was soft, reverent, as if he was afraid to press too hard. “We’re really doing this, huh?”
You covered his hand with yours, feeling the warmth of his skin against yours. “Yeah,” you said, your voice full of wonder. “We really are.”
Jake smiled, a soft, genuine smile that made your heart ache with affection. And for the first time since finding out, you felt the panic slip away. You were scared, yes—but with Jake by your side, you knew you could handle whatever came next.
Together.
* * * * *
You stood in front of the mirror, towel wrapped loosely around your body as you brushed your hair, your reflection catching your eye more than usual. Something had changed. It was subtle—barely noticeable unless you really looked—but it was there. The soft curve of your belly, just below the towel line, had begun to take shape.
You placed your hand on it, fingers tracing the gentle swell. It felt strange, unfamiliar, and yet
there was something deeply comforting about it. A quiet reminder of the life growing inside you, inching its way into the world.
Jake was in the other room, probably scrolling through his phone or flipping channels, oblivious to the tiny moment of realization you were having. The baby bump hadn’t fully registered with you yet either, but standing here, in the soft morning light filtering through the bathroom window of his place, you couldn’t deny it. Your body was changing. The bump was there.
Part of you wanted to hide it for a little longer, to savor this secret for yourself. But a bigger part—one that was filled with excitement and curiosity—wanted to share it with Jake. To see the look on his face when he realized just how real this was becoming.
After drying off and slipping into one of Jake’s old t-shirts, you wandered into his bedroom where he was sprawled on the bed, head propped on one hand as he absentmindedly flicked through a football game.
You leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a small smile tugging at your lips as you watched him. He didn’t even notice you at first, too engrossed in the game. But eventually, he must have sensed your gaze, because he turned his head, his eyes finding yours instantly.
“Hey,” he said, grinning lazily. “What’s up?”
You hesitated for a moment, chewing on your bottom lip before you took a deep breath and stepped closer to the bed. “I
I want to show you something.”
Jake raised an eyebrow, pushing himself up to sit on the edge of the bed, his curiosity piqued. “What is it?”
Your heart fluttered with nerves, but you moved to stand in front of him, the oversized t-shirt hanging loosely on your frame. You took another breath, then lifted the hem of the shirt just enough to reveal the small, gentle swell of your belly.
Jake’s reaction was immediate. His eyes widened, his breath catching as he stared at the bump, the soft curve that hadn’t been there before. For a moment, he didn’t say anything—he just looked, like he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing.
Then, slowly, a smile spread across his face. Not just any smile—one of those rare, breathtaking smiles that lit up his whole face, eyes crinkling at the corners, as if he’d just discovered something truly magical.
“Is that
?” he started, his voice soft with awe, before trailing off. He reached out, his hand hovering near your belly like he was asking permission.
You nodded, unable to speak past the lump in your throat.
His hand made contact, fingers splayed gently over the bump, as if he was afraid to press too hard. He rubbed his thumb lightly against your skin, tracing the small curve with a mixture of wonder and joy. It was like he couldn’t get enough of the moment—couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that this was real.
“That’s
 that’s our baby.”
You smiled, tears welling up in your eyes as you looked down at him, his expression so full of love it made your heart ache. “Yeah,” you whispered back. “I'm starting to show.”
Jake shook his head slightly, still in awe, his hand moving slowly over the bump like he was trying to memorize the feel of it. “I can’t believe it,” he murmured, his gaze never leaving your stomach. “I mean
I know we’ve been talking about it, but seeing this—it’s real, isn’t it?”
You nodded, feeling the same mix of disbelief and excitement swirling inside you. “Yeah,” you said softly. “It’s real.”
He looked up at you then, his eyes shining with emotion. “You look beautiful,” he said, his voice low and sincere. “Even more beautiful than before.”
A warm flush spread across your cheeks at his words, but before you could respond, Jake stood up, pulling you gently into his arms. His hands settled on your waist, his thumbs brushing the bump as he pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
“I can’t believe I missed this,” he said with a small laugh, his lips still close to your skin. “How long have you noticed?”
You leaned into him, resting your head against his chest as you let out a quiet laugh. “Not long,” you admitted. “I only really noticed today.”
Jake pulled back slightly, just enough to look at you. “Well, I’m glad you showed me,” he said, his smile still lighting up his face. “I don’t want to miss any of this. Not a single second.”
You reached up, cupping his cheek with your hand, your thumb brushing over his stubbled jaw. “You won’t,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. “We’re in this together, remember?”
He nodded, leaning down to press a kiss to your lips—soft and sweet, filled with all the emotions neither of you could quite put into words.
As the kiss ended, Jake’s hands found their way back to your belly, his fingers brushing over the bump again. He looked down, his face full of wonder as if he still couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“This is crazy,” he murmured with a small chuckle, shaking his head. “But it’s also
 amazing.”
You smiled, your heart swelling with affection for him. “Yeah,” you said softly. “It really is.”
Jake wrapped his arms around you again, pulling you close, and for the first time, the two of you just stood there, holding each other, feeling the tiny life growing between you. It was a quiet, beautiful moment—a shared realization that everything was changing, but in the best way possible.
* * * * *
The soft hum of the ultrasound machine filled the small exam room as you lay back on the table, Jake seated beside you, his hand tightly holding yours. The lights were dim, and the air was thick with a mix of nerves and anticipation. You weren’t sure if it was the faint chill of the gel the technician had spread across your belly or the fact that in just a few minutes, everything would feel a little more real.
Jake squeezed your hand, his thumb rubbing small circles into your palm, silently telling you that he was right there with you, just as anxious and excited as you were. You turned your head to look at him, catching the faintest hint of a smile on his face, though his eyes were glued to the monitor in front of you.
“Alright, let’s take a look,” the technician said, her voice calm and friendly as she moved the ultrasound wand over your belly. The screen flickered with shapes and shadows, the sound of the baby’s heartbeat filling the room, a rhythmic thud that made your own heart skip a beat.
Jake’s grip on your hand tightened slightly as both of you stared at the screen, trying to make sense of the images. The technician moved the wand slowly, explaining the different parts—the baby’s head, arms, legs. But the moment you’d both been waiting for was still ahead.
“Are you ready to find out?” the technician asked, her eyes flicking between the two of you.
You nodded, biting your lip, a nervous excitement bubbling up inside you. Jake leaned closer, his eyes wide with anticipation.
The technician smiled, and with a small movement of the wand, she pointed at the screen. “Congratulations,” she said softly. “You’re having a baby boy.”
The words hung in the air for a moment, sinking in. A boy. You felt Jake’s hand tense, then relax as a slow grin spread across his face. He glanced at you, his eyes shining with pure, unfiltered joy.
“A boy,” he murmured, the words barely audible, as if he was saying them more to himself than to you.
You smiled back at him, your heart full. “Yeah,” you whispered. “A boy.”
Jake let out a small laugh, his free hand moving to rest on your belly, his thumb brushing over the slight bump. “A little man,” he said, his voice filled with wonder. “I can’t believe it.”
You couldn’t help but laugh softly, the relief and excitement finally washing over you. Everything felt a little more real now, a little more tangible. You had a son—a baby boy who was going to turn your entire world upside down in the best possible way.
After a few more minutes of watching the baby wiggle on the screen, the technician handed you some printed images from the scan, and soon you and Jake were heading out of the clinic, stepping into the cool air of the parking lot.
The ride home was quiet at first, the two of you still processing the news. Jake’s hand rested on your thigh as he drove, the soft buzz of the radio playing in the background. You glanced over at him, noticing how he was still grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.
“You’re really excited, huh?” you teased, though the warmth in your voice gave away just how much you loved seeing him this happy.
Jake glanced at you, his smile widening. “Hell yeah, I’m excited. We’re having a boy. That’s
 that’s huge.”
You nodded, feeling the same excitement bubbling up again. “I know. It’s crazy.”
A comfortable silence settled between you, but you could feel Jake thinking, his mind already racing ahead. And then, almost predictably, he asked the question you’d been waiting for.
“So,” he started, his tone casual but with a hint of curiosity, “have you thought about any names?”
You let out a small laugh, turning to look at him. “Of course I’ve thought about names,” you said. “I’ve been scrolling through Pinterest boards for weeks now. I’ve got a whole list.”
Jake raised an eyebrow, glancing at you briefly before focusing back on the road. “Oh yeah? Let’s hear ‘em.”
You pulled your phone out, scrolling through your saved baby names. “Okay, well
I’ve always liked the name ‘Caleb.’ It’s kind of classic but not too common, you know?”
Jake nodded thoughtfully. “Caleb’s nice. What else you got?”
“Uh, let’s see
there’s ‘Wyatt,’ ‘Eli,’ and ‘Noah,’” you said, rattling off a few more names you’d saved.
Jake seemed to consider them for a moment, but then he let out a soft chuckle. “Those are good,” he said, his tone warm. “But, uh, I was kind of thinking about something more
I don’t know, meaningful? Maybe a family name.”
You raised an eyebrow, curious now. “A family name?”
Jake nodded, glancing at you again. “Yeah, like
well, my granddad’s name was ‘Jameson.’ I always thought that was a strong name. And my dad’s middle name was ‘Robert.’”
“Jameson Robert,” you repeated, testing it out. “That’s pretty solid.”
Jake smiled, clearly pleased. “Right? It sounds like a name you could grow into. A name with some weight behind it.”
You couldn’t help but grin at how serious he sounded. It was clear Jake had already been thinking about this—probably long before today. “I like it,” you said. “But we don’t have to decide right now. We’ve still got time to figure it out.”
Jake nodded, his hand giving your thigh a gentle squeeze. “Yeah, you’re right. I just
I don’t know, I kind of like the idea of carrying on some of the family names. But I’m open to anything.”
You smiled, leaning back in your seat as you watched the landscape pass by outside the window. “We’ll figure it out together,” you said softly. “Besides, we’ve still got a few months to pick the perfect name.”
Jake chuckled, glancing at you with that easy, warm smile of his. “Yeah,” he said. “But I’m calling it now—he’s gonna be a little Jameson.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “We’ll see about that.”
The rest of the drive home was filled with easy conversation, tossing baby names back and forth and laughing about which ones definitely didn’t make the cut. You felt lighter than you had in weeks, the excitement of the day settling into something quieter, something deeper.
By the time you pulled into the driveway, the two of you hadn’t landed on a final name, but it didn’t matter. You still had time. What mattered was that you were in this together—building a family, one moment at a time.
* * * * *
You stood in the small bedroom of your apartment, surveying the space that had felt cozy just a few months ago but now seemed increasingly cramped with the realization that a baby was on the way. Jake was pacing the floor, tossing around ideas for rearranging the furniture, while you tried to mentally picture how everything could fit.
“What if we move the dresser to the other side?” Jake suggested, pointing toward the corner where a floor lamp barely fit. “Then we could push the bed over, and maybe
” He paused, considering the layout again. “I don’t know, it just feels tight in here.”
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “Yeah, it’s going to be a challenge. I wasn’t exactly planning on having a baby when I moved in here.”
Jake leaned against the wall, crossing his arms, and looked at you with a thoughtful expression. “You know,” he said slowly, “I was thinking
maybe you could just move into my place.”
You blinked, surprised by the suggestion. “Your place? But we’ve only been together a few months, and now with everything that’s happened
” Your voice trailed off as you considered the implications.
He straightened up, stepping closer. “I mean it. My place has two bedrooms. We can easily turn one into a nursery, and I want you and the baby close to me. We could be a family.”
The warmth in his voice sent a flutter through your chest. You searched his eyes for any hint of hesitation, but all you saw was sincerity. “Are you sure? This is a big step. We haven’t even been together a year yet.”
Jake nodded firmly, the look in his eyes unwavering. “I know it’s fast, but I want to do this together. I want you both with me. I don’t want to miss a moment once he gets here.”
Your heart swelled at his words, a mix of excitement and anxiety flooding you. “It’s just
 a lot to think about.”
He reached out, pulling you into a warm embrace. “I get it, but we’ll figure it out together. You’re not alone in this. We can make it work.”
As you melted into his arms, you felt the weight of your worries begin to lift. The idea of moving in with Jake was both daunting and exhilarating, but deep down, you knew he was right. It would be good for all of you.
Pulling back slightly, you looked into his eyes, your smile growing. “Okay. Let’s do it.”
Jake’s face broke into a wide grin, and he lifted you off the ground in excitement. “Really? You mean it?”
You nodded, laughing as he set you back down. “Yeah, I mean it. I’m just as scared as I am excited, but I want this. I want us to be a family, and I want us to be together.”
Jake’s smile softened, and he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear. “Then it’s settled. Let’s make it happen.”
You felt a rush of happiness as you both embraced again, knowing that despite the challenges ahead, you had each other. You could build a home together, and soon enough, you’d be welcoming your little one into the world.
* * * * *
The day had stretched into what felt like an eternity, filled with anticipation, exhaustion, and a whirlwind of emotions. You lay in the hospital bed, beads of sweat on your forehead, clutching Jake’s hand tightly. He was your anchor, whispering words of encouragement and squeezing your fingers every time a contraction rolled through you.
“You’re doing amazing, babe,” he said softly, brushing a damp strand of hair from your face. His voice was a calming presence amid the chaos, and every time you met his gaze, you felt a surge of strength.
Hours passed, and the pain became almost unbearable, but you pressed on, motivated by the thought of finally holding your baby in your arms. You could feel the excitement in the room as the medical staff prepared for the final moments. Jake stayed right by your side, never leaving you, his eyes filled with concern and love.
Finally, with one last push, the cries of your baby filled the room, piercing through the haze of pain and exhaustion. Your heart raced as you heard that precious sound, a mixture of relief and joy flooding through you. The nurses gently placed the tiny bundle on your chest, and you looked down, tears brimming in your eyes.
There he was—your son. His little face, scrunched up and wailing, filled you with a warmth you had never known. You glanced up at Jake, who was beaming, his eyes wide with wonder as he took in the sight of his son for the first time.
Jake leaned in closer, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead, his breath warm against your skin. “You did it,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “He’s perfect.”
You smiled through your tears, feeling an overwhelming sense of love and pride. “Look at him,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. “He’s ours.”
Jake nodded, his eyes glistening as he gazed at the two of you. “We’re a family now.”
In that moment, nothing else mattered. The pain of labor faded into the background, replaced by an all-consuming love for this tiny human that you had created together. You felt Jake’s hand wrap around yours, his thumb stroking the back of your hand as he leaned in to share the joy of this incredible moment.
As you cradled your son against your chest, the world around you fell silent. It was just you, Jake, and your beautiful baby boy, the three of you beginning this new chapter together.

drunk promises.
chan watched as you stumbled out of the doors of the bar, beaming at him and holding up a packet of what looked like french fries. it was your friend groups bi-monthly night out, and who was he to deny you some fun?
you were evidently drunk, and possibly the only one since most of your friend group was either pregnant or had kids at home. chan wrapped you in his arms, his familiar scent engulfing you.
chan picked you effortlessly and felt you giggle against his neck. he laughed and placed you in the car, helping you with your seatbelt, stealing a few french fries in the process.
when he started the car, you asked, "chan?"
"hm?" he replied, turning to face you.
you turned to him with a lovesick grin, "do you love me?"
chan had to stifle his laughter as best as he possible could. gosh, you were just so cute. chan laced his fingers through yours, opting to steer with just one hand.
"y/n, baby," he said gently, "we've been married for three years."
your face instantly lit up and you placed your cheek against the padding of the car seat. "oh yeah!"
chan laughed and ruffled your hair, softly kissing you at a red light to remove the pout on your face.
"chan."
"hm?"
"let's make a baby."
"what?"
chan nearly crashed the car then and there. it wasn't that he didn't want kids. it was just that the two of your never properly discussed it, prioritizing your careers over starting a family. but he should've known it was coming; baby fever had both of you in it's deathly grip.
"i love you, you love me, and when two people love each other very much-"
you babbled on and on about how having a baby would be advantageous.
"we can get free cuddles and not have to go to other people's homes!"
"looking after a baby is more than just free cuddles honey."
you frowned, your lip caught between your teeth. "i know! we'll do the taking care part too. i can change the diapers in the morning, and you can do it in the night, since you don't sleep anyways."
you continued with a satisfied smile, "and then we'll get free cuddles."
chan watched you with what he bet were literal hearts in his eyes. when your initial enthusiasm died down to a form of exhaustion, you placed your head against his shoulder and yawned.
"promise me you'll talk about this when you're sober?"
"promise," you sighed sleepily, hooking your pinky finger with his and giving him a triumphant smile.
god, he had never loved you more. but that would be a lie. he found himself loving you more with each passing second he had knowing that he loved you and you loved him.
(ten months later proof of that promise was nestled in chan's arms and now he had two people whom he could proudly expend all his love on for the rest of forever if possible.)

Summary. You, literally, physically, cannot break with your boyfriends. (Inspired by the reddit story.)
The 4 of you were in tune, just as you had been throughout your entire relationship. Steven, Marc, and Jake were aware that this would happen at some point or another, much to their liking sooner rather than later, but sometimes there's not much you can do. Sometimes, being the keyword.
As time passed, your patience dwindled little by little. Cleaning Jake's wounds, comforting Steven's nightmares, and picking up the broken pieces of Marc's fits of anger became 'too much' when you realized that you were the one living with pain silently most of the time.
It wasn't their fault, you were aware of that, you couldn't deny that they loved you, and you didn't have the strength to lie to yourself about it, but you also knew that there was no way they would rid themselves of the title of vigilante. Khonshu didn't let them go, but they didn't fight as much as you would like either.
The sound of the door pulled you out of your thoughts, and one last time Marc's exhausted expression caused a stir in your heart. You gave him a small smile, and he, seeing that strange expression, knew that the day had come.
"What are you doing awake?" He closed the door behind him.
"I was waiting for you." When your body shifted to one side of the couch, there was space for him beside you. Marc understood, the couch creaked under his weight, he was right at the corner of it, raising his arm to the backrest to be able to touch your shoulder with his fingers in a loving gesture. "We need to talk."
He nodded silently, his breath hitched but he managed to disguise it for you.
"I can't do this anymore, Marc." Your voice broke when you said his name, and he gave your shoulder a gentle squeeze as if trying to convey the strength you needed to continue. "I love you but I think this isn't the best for either of us."
He nodded again, biting the inside of his cheek.
"I understand." He didn't make a scene, he didn't raise his voice, and he didn't plead, and even though the tears trapped in his eyes portrayed the real pain he felt, you knew he loved you too much to make this harder for you.
Marc would never turn the knife that he had already stabbed you with when he agreed to be in a relationship with you. He pulled your wrist and with a push, he brought you against his chest where you cried for a good 10 minutes until his voice caught your attention.
"I'm going to leave, okay?"
"You don't have to do it, not now." You checked the time on his watch; he still had an arm around you. "It's late."
"I need to be alone." His lips occasionally brushed against your hair, small kisses that carried the scent of your shampoo. "Please."
This time it was your turn to nod silently.
Your bodies broke the hug, and both of you felt the cold of the night hit you like a truck. You watched with crossed arms as he removed Steven and Jake's posters from the walls; he never liked putting up decorations of that kind.
He packed up what he could in some boxes, books, clothes, even a picture frame with a photo of both of you, he loaded everything into Jake's car.
He took your cheeks one last time, and you enjoyed the taste of mint in his mouth, those chewing gums he used to try to relax his anxiety, those that never worked. When Marc left, you sent a couple of messages to acquaintances to break the news because you had been together for so long that your partner could already be considered part of your family and your group of friends; you received some immediate responses.
Mostly words of encouragement, regretting that things hadn't worked out.
You went to sleep in a cold, lonely bed, but with a strange sensation, as if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. You had the chance to start over, to live a life with fewer worries.
Things could get better.
Tumblr media
Steven's late-night podcast woke you up around 10 in the morning on Saturday, accompanied by a delicious scent of waffles; you knew it was him because the coconut aroma always prevailed in his vegan breakfasts.
Without opening your eyes, you complained to yourself. Were they trying to change your mind now? You were ready to argue.
The feeling of discomfort caught your breath in your lungs when you opened your eyes and saw the posters back on the wall. Looking down was also a surprise; you were wearing one of Steven's shirts, your favorite for sleeping.
You could swear Marc had taken it the day before along with many of his things.
"Love?" Steven's smile slowly faded when you appeared in the kitchen, an uncomfortable expression on your face. "Is something wrong? Are you okay?" He stopped what he was doing to walk up to you, his delicate touch landing on your cheeks just as Marc had done the night before, squeezing them to get your attention.
"I think... mhm." You let him interrupt you with a kiss. "I had a bad dream." Or at least, that's what you were trying to convince yourself. There was no other explanation for this happening.
"Sorry for leaving you alone in bed, I was starving." He looked genuinely concerned as his forehead rested against yours. "I made waffles for you; I know they're your favorites."
You spent the morning with him, and Steven being as affectionate as always didn't surprise you; that simply was Steven's personality. As the day went on, you understood that you had only experienced an extremely lucid dream, so you would have to go through this again somehow.
While your boyfriend rested his head on your lap, you stretched just a bit to grab your phone, which lit up with a message arrival, and you took the opportunity to check one last time that you weren't going crazy. You scrolled through all the messages, and there was none talking about breakups or anything close; in fact, your last message had been sent to their shared phone, you saying you missed them without receiving a response.
Your other hand, almost by inertia, played with Steven's curls as you searched for any sign that told you that the previous night had indeed happened.
Nothing.
"Are you okay?" He mumbled sleepily; apparently, your fingers had tensed in his hair.
"Mhm." You swallowed hard. You couldn't do this again; it felt like a cruel joke of life. "Can we talk? Please?"
Very much against his will, he straightened his back and faced you. Those beautiful brown eyes with dark circles underneath looked at you with as much admiration as they always had, his fingers intertwined with yours, and his thumbs stroked your hands.
"What's wrong, love?"
"We can't be together anymore." It was better if you did it bluntly, as if ripping off a band-aid all at once rather than doing it slowly.
His expression gradually fell, tears filled his eyes, his brow furrowed, and a small pout appeared on his lips. His fingers slowly tightened around yours.
Your hands hurt from the way he clung to you.
"Steven, you're hurting me." You sobbed too when you saw him cry openly. When you stood up, he fell to his knees in front of you without letting go. If only your dream had been real; going through this was hurting your heart twice as much as you had ever imagined.
Another reminder that Marc and Steven were not the same person.
"Sorry, I-I'm sorry." He stuttered as you helped him to his feet. He released your hands to hug you against his chest, almost cutting off your breath with the suddenness of his movements. "I'm sorry, love."
Sorry for what? He hadn't done anything wrong in the relationship; not all breakups arose from mistakes on either side, sometimes things just didn't work out, and that was it.
He, internally, knew very well why he was apologizing to you.
"I need to be alone, Steven." You whispered when you felt him hiccup against you in pain; his shirt you were wearing felt damp by now at shoulder level.
You gently pushed him back by the chest, and he took a step back, still trembling.
"I... Y-yeah, of course, I... understand." He forced himself to take a step back.
"Jake's car keys are where they always are." With heaviness, you had to turn your back on him, or you knew he would never leave. You could feel his brown orbs glued to you for just a few seconds before the slam of the door made you startle.
You ran your hands over your face in desperation. Facing it a second time had been worse, but things were done, fortunately, and you could talk about it better later, or at least that's what you hoped, when he felt calmer.
You sent messages giving the news, unlike your dream, this time it was a way to beg that no one asked about Jake, Marc, or Steven. You didn't have the strength.
Tumblr media
A pair of arms tightened around you strongly causing you to groan in the middle of your sleep. You snapped your eyes open, feeling suffocated by the pressure.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” You slurred as you struggled to get out of his grip.
“What's wrong, princesa?” He growled lowly as he pulled you tighter against him. He raised his head a little so he could look at you. He had barely one eye open, and thus he managed to look confused.
“Let go of me, Jake!” You were noticeably upset, his arms seemed to enclose you with increasing force as if he didn't notice that you were on the verge of a panic attack. The previous few hours hadn't been a dream, you were sure.
Your back hit his chest and you felt his breath on your neck.
“Wasn't one round enough for you?" His hips collided with yours to give emphasis to his words. “Do you want me to get you tired, amor?” One of his arms continued to take your breath away while his right hand moved down your body, stopping at one of your tits, squeezing it with his fingers almost in a playful way before continuing to crawl downwards, heading between your legs.
“Let go of me, I don't even know what the fuck you're doing here.”
Your voice cracked, breaking his heart.
But not as much as it would break him to let you go.
“I live here, tontita.” His fingers were rubbing against your pussy lips slowly. Up and down, forcing you to open your legs a little more.
“Jake, please.” Your eyes were filled with tears. This was a horrible nightmare.
“Shh, be a good girl for me, okay? I had a long day.”
You didn't even put in any strength. You didn't have it anymore. As his fingers played with you, his hips pushed against your ass, over and over, rubbing his boner against you.
He was going to admit it, even he couldn't imagine being attracted to the idea of something like this. But after your attempts to escape, this felt like a way to reaffirm that you belonged to him.
“Look how wet you are, did you miss me?” When he got tired of his fingers doing the work he forced them into your mouth, making you taste yourself.
Steven's shirt that you again didn't remember wearing made his job easier, only pushing aside your panties to insert his cock deep inside your being in a single thrust. And you no longer knew if you were sobbing from pleasure or fear.
You didn't remember him being so rough to you before. With one push he flipped you onto your stomach with him crushing your entire body, where he could thrust more comfortably with a handful of your hair tangled in his fingers.
You heard the bed creak, his gasps, and you felt your face wet from your saliva and tears filling your pillow.
“Fuck, that's just w-what I needed.” He was using you. You could recognize it, sex between you always meant pleasure for both of you, now he seemed to be using you as a thing where to leave his cum.
Between tears and kicking, deep down, you knew you were liking it.
He didn't last long, not right when he discovered how much he liked taking you this way. You slept with him next to you, with his sperm running down your legs and wishing this too had just been a dream.
Tumblr media
You didn't search for them around the apartment the following morning; as soon as you got up, you ran straight to grab a suitcase, if you didn't escape your own damn mind was going to drive you crazy.
Three days had been enough to make it difficult for you to differentiate between reality and your lucid dreams or whatever it was you were experiencing. You bumped into Marc as you exited the room.
"Woah, what's going on?"
You didn't even respond to him; you couldn't even look him in the face after what they had done to you.
"Move!" You pushed him as hard as you could, grabbing your phone, which for the third time had not a single message about the breakup.
"Sweetheart?"
"How the hell dare you ask me what's wrong!?" You were shattered, your mind, your body, you. "Last night, Jake... "
"Huh?" He interrupted you with a furrowed brow. "We just got here, sweetheart."
No, no, no, no, he was lying to you.
He had to be lying to you. You wanted to wipe that confused expression off his face with punches and tear off the hand he was using to point at Jake's car keys in their place.
You put them there; he just threw them wherever when he arrived.
And truth be told, when you looked down between your legs, you were almost too clean.
You were going crazy.
"Fuck off, Marc." Erratically, you ripped the charger off your phone from the wall and almost ran to the front door as if he were chasing you. Which clearly he wasn't. In fact, he wasn't doing anything except looking confused. "You and Steven and Jake, leave me alone."
The slam of the door made you feel free, as did the car horns and sounds of street vendors.
That night, you searched for the farthest motel you could find; you kept your phone off after sending messages to acquaintances assuring them you were okay but didn't feel comfortable sharing your location with them at the moment.
Ah, and at least you had a good night's sleep, after a long time.
Tumblr media
“Pancakes or waffles?”
Steven's voice made you snap your eyes open. Your head was on his arm, and you felt the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed against your back.
Tears filled your eyes when you recognized the place around you.
Your home.
When your sobs reached your boyfriend's ears, you immediately felt him place a kiss on your shoulder.
"What's wrong, honey? Did you have a bad dream?"

x: Thomas Shelby found his match in an information bookie who has eluded the grasp of the Peaky Blinders long enough to crumble their power over Birmingham. But at last, he found you. The ghost he'd been chasing was finally in front of him, but you were trickier than he expected. Dangerous, cunning - and a bit too much like himself. To buy your loyalty, he would have to sell his in equal measure. Loyalty for loyalty - blood for blood - how much were either of you willing to spill before the game changed entirely?

part 13: a red aftermath

✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒
John carried you into the Garrison, and immediately, Tommy and Finn met you halfway, their eyes landing on the bloodied mess of your figure.
They laid you out on a table in the back room, away from the windows and the smoke-streaked walls. Arthur and John moved with a surprising mixture of urgency and care, stripping your bloodstained coat off and revealing the ugly red wounds just above your hip and below your collar.
Arthur swore under his breath, examining the injury closely. “They shot you good, didn’t they?”
Your managed a weak nod, the effort draining more of what little energy you had left.
John met Tommy’s eyes over your body. “We need to get the bullets out.”
“Christ,” Arthur muttered, moving to fetch whiskey and bandages from behind the bar. “This is a fucking mess. Finn, you need to get home now. You shouldn't be watching this.”
Tommy didn’t look at you, focusing instead on his fingers working the gunshot wound with careful precision. He could feel the heat of your skin under his fingers, the slick, sticky blood, the sharp pain of the bullet pressing against bone. It was a reminder of just how close you’d come to dying tonight. And he hated that it made something twist tight in his chest, a sensation he didn’t want to name.
You hissed through clenched teeth, your eyes darting toward the ceiling. “Tommy—”
His jaw tightened as you grabbed his wrist, your grip teeming with desperation and fear—fear of the pain and of the aftermath. He wanted to ignore you, just enough to focus on the task at hand, but when he looked up, your eyes met his with a silent plea. You weren't ready. No one would ever be ready for death, but right now, you weren't ready for any of it.
"Arthur, get Jimmy over here now," Tommy commanded firmly, and minutes later Arthur returned with the priest at his side.
Tommy helped you sit upright, taking your face into his hands. He spoke to you gently, "He's going to get the bullets out. It's going to hurt. I'm not going to lie to you, y/n, you're going to feel all of it. You've gotta stay still, and let him work."
You hastily nodded, and while you didn't respond, Tommy still felt the desperation in your grip.
Tommy steadied you. He held the back of your neck, bracing his forehead against yours. His eyes locked on you as if silently saying, Look at me. Just me. No one else is here.
Your screams erupted throughout the Garrison as Jimmy pinched at the open wound in your shoulder, but Tommy wouldn't allow you to break free. He watched helplessly as tears streamed down your face, and he prayed that someway he could take the pain and feel it for you. His hand slowly grew numb.
Jimmy dug into the wound until the bullet hit the table.
Arthur shot him a sideways look, muttering, “There's one more.”
The room fell silent. Jimmy reached for the edge of your shirt and whispered just loudly enough for you and Tommy to hear. "We need to take this off."
You shut your eyes tight. Despite the obviously terrible condition you were already in, the last of your defenses were about to be ripped away. You'd be exposed in a way that would never be comfortable or welcome.
As if he heard the discourse in your mind, Tommy tore away from you, looking sharply at John and Arthur.
"We need privacy."
John shot a sharp glance at Arthur. “We'll go back to the shop. See what we can salvage. The boys should have managed the fire by now.”
When Tommy turned back to you, you were struggling to unbutton your shirt with one hand. With tear-stained cheeks, you cried silently. Tommy put his hand on yours, easing it away as he carried out the burden for you. He slipped the garment off your arms and carefully folded it. Once you were exposed, he nodded to Jimmy.
Jimmy took a deep breath. "Sit behind her, and hold her still. You need to keep pressure on the other wound."
Tommy moved, positioning so you could brace yourself against his chest. He wrapped his arms around you and pressed his palm firmly on your shoulder. You winced but soon felt the relief in the warmth of his hand.
He held his lips to your temple with his eyes closed as Jimmy worked on you. Every shiver, every whimper and gasp—it molded into his chest. The trembles and the aches—like he was feeling the pain with you.
When it was finally over, you were limp in Tommy's arms. Whether it was from pain or exhaustion, he didn't know, but still, he held you as you drifted off until you were breathing softly against his chest.
The hardest part was cleaning the wound, and he knew better than anyone how that burn lingered long after the bullets were gone.
Jimmy sighed as he leaned forward, elbows propped up against his knees. He held the two bullets in his hands tightly. "She was lucky, Tom. She came really close. The second one nearly missed the lung."
Tommy didn't respond. He just held you while you slept, unwilling to disturb the moment of peace even if it was for relieving news.
He cleared his throat. "I need to take her to Arrow House. Safer there."
"She will need to rest. She needs to heal."
Tommy nodded softly. He stood, carrying you with him with your bloodied jacket draped over your shoulders.
✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒
The room was dark, save for the faint glow of moonlight seeping through the heavy curtains. You shifted under the covers, a sharp jolt of pain radiating from your side. The breath hitched in you throat, and you bit back a groan.
Your eyes blinked open, adjusting to the dim light. The rich wooden beams overhead and the faint scent of cigars reminded you that this wasn't the Garrison. You didn't remember the drive to Arrow House. The brothers had insisted you stay here to recover—ordered it, more like.
Another stab of pain wracked your side quickly followed by your shoulder, and you let out a low curse. Moving carefully, you forced yourself upright, fingers brushing against the bandages beneath the large shirt that John haphazardly left for you. The room spun slightly, and you steadied yourself against the headboard.
The sound of footsteps outside the door startled you. A faint knock followed before it creaked open, revealing Arthur’s disheveled form. His brow furrowed when he saw you sitting up, clearly in discomfort.
“Could hear you movin’ about from down the hall,” he muttered, stepping inside. “You alright?”
You tried to muster your usual sharpness but found it dulled by exhaustion. “I’m fine, Arthur. Go back to bed.”
“Don’t look like you’re fine,” John chimed in, appearing in the doorway behind his brother. His hair was ruffled, and he wore a skeptical expression.
“I don’t need an audience,” you said, though your voice lacked its usual bite.
Arthur crossed his arms. “You took a bullet, y/n. Actually, you took two. Don’t think you’re walkin’ this one off without us keepin’ an eye on you.”
Before you could protest further, Tommy’s voice cut through the quiet. “That’s enough.”
Both brothers turned as Tommy stepped into the room, his gaze flicking between you. His face was unreadable, but his tone left no room for argument. “Go back to your rooms. I’ll handle it.”
Arthur hesitated, his eyes narrowing slightly. “You sure? She’s lookin’ worse than she did yesterday.”
Tommy shot him a pointed look. “I said I’ll handle it.”
John exchanged a glance with Arthur, then shrugged. “Alright, Tom. We'll be nearby. Doubt we'll be able to go back to sleep anyway.”
With that, the two brothers disappeared down the hall, their footsteps fading into the distance.
You glared at Tommy, though the effect was weakened by the pale sheen of sweat on your forehead. “Come to chide me for my foolishness?”
Tommy ignored your attempt to rile him up, crossing the room to pour a glass of water from the decanter on the nightstand. He held it out to you. “Drink.”
You wanted to argue, but the dryness in your throat answered first. When you took the glass, your fingers brushed his briefly. The cool water was a relief, but it did little to ease the knot of tension building in the room.
“You should be resting,” he said softly, though no less firm.
“I was,” you shot back, setting the empty glass down. “I do not control how a body heals, even less so, my own.”
Tommy sat down in the chair near the window, his movements deliberate. “At least, you're healing. Could be worse.”
“How comforting,” you muttered, leaning back against the pillows. "Good to see your conversation skills don't falter even in the face of a woman freshly debilitated."
You glanced at Tommy, noticing how the dim light softened his sharp features. He looked tired, though you doubted he’d admit it.
“Why are you still here?” you asked finally.
“To make sure you don’t do anything stupid. I'm sure, even in your current state, you'd try to crawl out the window at the first opportunity.”
You huffed a quiet laugh, though it sent a ripple of pain through your nerves. “Am I that predictable?”
“To me, you are.”
His words hung in the air, neither biting nor soft. You didn’t have a retort for once. You let your head fall back and stared up at the ceiling.
“You shouldn’t care,” you said after a moment, your voice low. “About me, I mean. This whole ordeal wasn't about you.”
Tommy leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “I could say the same to you. Then again, I could remind you, it's just business.”
Your lips pressed into a thin line. Of course, he would throw your words back at you, but he was only able to do so because it was no longer true. Not that it really ever was.
He stood abruptly, smoothing his hands over his vest. “Get some rest. You’ll need it.”
As he turned to leave, you spoke quietly. “Thank you.”
Tommy paused in the doorway, his hand on the frame. He didn’t look back. The door closed behind him, and you were left alone with the shadows, the aches, and the undeniable realization that you were both too far in to turn back now.
✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒✒
The ache in your side dulled to a persistent throb, but it was enough to pull you from sleep once again. You groaned softly, shifting against the pillows as you tried to find a more comfortable position. The clock on the nightstand read just past two in the morning, and the house was silent except for the faint creaking of wood beneath the wind.
This time, you didn’t bother trying to move. The thought of waking anyone—especially Tommy—seemed far less troublesome than an ache. Your breath hitched as the pain struck again. You pushed your face into one of the pillows, hoping the cushion would muffle your swears.
A moment later, the door creaked open.
Tommy watched you for a moment. His face was shadowed in the dim light, but his presence was unmistakable.
“You're still uncomfortable,” he said simply, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.
“You’re making a habit of keeping an eye on me when its least wanted,” you mumbled, sinking back into the pillows.
Tommy didn’t reply, instead crossing the room to sit in the chair by the window. His movements were calm, deliberate, as if he’d planned this. You wondered how long he'd been awake or if he'd slept at all. For all you knew, he could have been sitting just outside your door, waiting until he heard you stir.
“You should be resting,” he said, echoing his words from the night before.
“DĂ©jĂ  vu,” you groaned, but there was no real bite in your tone.
Tommy’s gaze flicked to your bandaged side, his expression unreadable. “How bad is it?”
“I'm sure you've been shot at before, so you've heard it all. It’s manageable.”
“That why you’re awake?”
“Why are you awake?”
Tommy leaned back in the chair. “I don’t sleep much. And I wasn't going to let you pretend like you didn't need someone's help. Even if the only help I could offer was my own.”
“You didn’t need to come.”
“I know,” he said quietly.
You didn’t like this, this quiet attention he gave you. It made you feel seen in a way you weren't ready to accept or acknowledge as genuine.
“I don’t like being looked after,” you said finally, voice softer than intended.
“I’ve noticed.”
You couldn’t help the faint smirk that tugged at your lips. “Tommy Shelby, you see right through me.”
He didn’t respond right away, his gaze drifting to the floor for a moment. “You’ve been on your own for a long time. It shows.”
“I manage.”
“Barely."
Your eyes narrowed, but the fight drained from you quickly. You were too tired, too raw to argue. “I was fine before you. I'll be fine after you're long gone. Such is life.”
The words were cold, but the way he stayed, the way he watched you so closely, told you he wouldn't leave even if logic told her there was no reason for him to. The silence fell again, but this time it felt different. Less tense, more fragile. You leaned back against the pillows, you eyelids growing heavier despite the pain.
“You don’t have to stay,” you said softly, voice barely above a whisper.
“I know,” Tommy replied, his voice steady.
But he didn’t leave.
Instead, he stayed in the chair by the window, his presence a quiet reassurance in the darkness. You let your eyes close, the sound of his even breathing lulling you into a restless sleep. And though you wouldn’t admit it, the knowledge that he was there, that he cared enough to stay, brought you a comfort you hadn’t felt in years.

the flower meaning post was too fun so now i have to do the tarot card meanings too. i'm being held at gunpoint by taiga this has to happen
love when i get halfway through a post and realize i need to add a spoiler tag
spoilers through ep 15
Tumblr media
that was a joke taiga would never hold me at gunpoint, he would just pull the trigger
tarot cards!! i will say i have friends that are MUCH more educated in this than i but hey i have them plus duck duck go at my fingertips, i'm unstoppable. let's get into it
tarot initially started in the 1400s in italy as a card game and quickly spread around europe in the following centuries. it wasn't until the 18th century in france that an occult group began using them as divination and applying meanings that we commonly see today. the basic interpretation follows the fool along his journey of growth and self discovery. the decks are comprised of major and minor arcana cards, and while the suits will vary depending on the customization of the deck, the most common four suits are wands, cups, pentacles, and swords.
decks, especially the ones used for cartomancy (divination), are often customized, so we'll be going with the classic and common interpretation. also! let's go in arcana order!
Tumblr media
kaito - the fool
loooooooove love love kaito being the fool. soo good. much metaphor. the fool is the beginning point of the tarot deck, and he's a fool because he's naive; it's the hero at the beginning of his journey, setting off into the world for the first time and growing along the way.
keywords for the fool in the upright position (this will be important later) : beginnings, innocence, originality, adventure, spontaniety.
the fool is starting out on his journey, bright eyed and bushy tailed and full of wonder. in the original cards, the fool was usually walking toward a cliff and being barked at by a dog as a warning. these were mainly like a "hey you're starting out on this journey, watch out for danger," and a warning that if you weren't prepared before starting on this journey, you'd get fucked up. or like, some minor inconveniences at least. the fool coming up in a reading is to inspire courage, to face each day as a new adventure and know that countless possibilities lie ahead.
he's also holding a white rose, which as stated in my other posts, represents innocence, purity, and also remembrance.
like i said, obSESSED that this is kaito's card. since we've learned more about his past and him (a mysterious pendant, a hardass badass grandma, him using his BOW) i think this card fits really well. this journey to darkwick was a new chapter for him, a chance to start over, and he has no idea what's coming his way.
Tumblr media
towa - the lovers
i'm like 95% sure those are chrysallis pods behind towa. transformation??? what's he turning into 👀 the colorful beads are an interesting choice. if anyone knows exactly what those are hmu
keywords for the lovers upright: balance, unity, relationships, choices, and unions.
the lovers is a card that yes, can represent love and perfect relationships and attraction, but it can also represent unions and agreements and having to make a choice. the original tarot card design was a couple holding hands while an angel above them blesses them and their union. it's said that this is the angel raphael who works with the winds.
towa, while an aries, also tends to work with the winds. interesting, that.
the card can also represent that a choice must be made soon, to a committment. the card is questioning committment, and how willing you are to sacrifice something for that choice.
towa is suuuuch an interesting character. he loves love and follows his heart in every decision, so it makes sense that he gets the lovers. whether he's one of the people in the couple or the angel blessing it, i have a feeling he's going to be involved in whatever choice we make either way.
"do you believe in soulmates, dandelion?"
Tumblr media
lucas - the chariot
luca my son ilysm. also look at those sphinxes behind him!! these are specifically egyptian sphinxes, so i'm going with that interpretation: typically sphinxes in egyptian mythology are benevolent guardians, usually associated with pharoahs. there's two of them, so perhaps representing him and his brother? also could be a reference to the initial depiction of the card, which had a chariot being pulled by two black and white sphinxes
the chariot upright keywords: success, ambition, willpower, self-discipline, and focus.
such a luca card already
the chariot is a card that is all about gaining control over your situation and moving forward with focus. it encourages you to build structured plans and to find balance between order and chaos to move forward with courage. it also represents the need to use aggression, a natural human reaction, to achieve your goals, but to also make sure you rein it in so it doesn't get out of control.
this is so luca. balancing impulses, finding the determination to move forward with control--he's so goal oriented and focused on what he wants. we love a man with ambition.
Tumblr media
alan - strength
happy bday baby welcome to the tarot club!! love those chains you got there, are you also burdened by a past from which you cannot escape? *twirls my hair*
strength upright keywords: courage, bravery, inner power, strength (duh), compassion, and self-confidence
strength is a card that was originally depicted as a woman holding the jaws of a lion. she is calm in the face of danger, and holds an inner strength to withstand any challenges that may come her way. she also represents compassion in the face of adversity. the lion also represents courage, and by the woman holding the lion's jaws, shows that she's keeping the courage in control so that it does not become recklessness.
forgive me if i start crying over alan but boy howdy does this card fit him well. he's done so much to move forward with courage and never backs down from what needs to be done--but he doesn't charge forward recklessly. he makes calm, measured moves, but will not shy away if it seems difficult. also, i'd argue he's one of the only ghouls who's actually compassionate towards us. he lets us go forward and try to do what we can, and then he'll step in and help where we falter. also the head ruffling. love him so much dude
the chains are killing me. let go of your chains comrade it'll be okay we're here for you
Tumblr media
rui - death
i am losing my mind over the fact that our curse twin is the only one (so far) whose card is in reverse. typically, the death card is a chance at letting go, but reversed....yikes dude. also, he's got his purple roses and the skeleton with him again. his background is blank up top. i'm screaming. can you hear me screaming? because i'm screaming.
purple roses, as said in a couple other posts, are mainly representative of magic and enchantment and love at first sight, but also mystery. RUI ugh
death reversed keywords: fear of change, stagnancy, resisting change, decay.
SO interesting. rui was trying so hard at the beginning to get rid of his curse--has he given up? has he just accepted this now? is that why he retreated to obscuary, to fade away? i'll cry fr
death as a card is one that's a little intimidating to pull but genuinely had good meanings to listen to. it was historically depicted as a skeleton on a white horse over both a king and a pauper, showing that death cannot be stopped and that death does not discriminate. so singing hamilton in the notes. death will continue forward, and to resist change is to resist life itself. as an upright card, it was a sign that great change was coming, and you had to embrace the unknown and continue on. as a reversed card, however, it's saying that change is being resisted. either it's fear of the unknown or something else holding you back, and so death reversed is coming as a warning: it's okay to be afraid, but to remain in place is to stagnate and decay.
this is such an interesting card outside of the whole reaper and death correlations. rui does absolutely give me the vibe of someone who tried so hard for so long that he just gave up and is now just wasting his time forever. in his flower meaning card, he had yellow carnation, which was a symbol of regret and remorse.
rui baby pls
Tumblr media
with that we move from the major arcana into the minor arcana -- for now! i'll definitely keep this post updated as more come out.
Tumblr media
lyca - page of wands
my other son ugh i love this lil guy. the lizard behind him is super cute. i'm fairly sure it's a salamander because wands are the suit of fire and salamanders are mythologically associated with fire. the suit of wands is associated with creativity, energy, and willpower, all of which are very much lyca.
page of wands keywords: adventure, excitement, fresh ideas, fearless, and extroverted.
this card is so cute for lyca. it pictures a young man in a barren landscape at the beginning of his transformation. this card is all about proving to the world you're here for a reason and that your ideas CAN be achieved. following your path with courage will lead you to the outcome you've always dreamed of.
you can do it lyca!!! we're all rooting for you!!!
Tumblr media
subaru - king of cups
once again we see the element of the suit being reflected in the art. cups are the element of water, and the theme of the suit is emotions, intuition, feelings, and relationships.
king of cups keywords: wise, balanced, counselor, advisor, devoted
funny as hell considering the latest hotarubi chapter
anyways the king of cups is a card that represents balance and well thought out choices. this card is a sign to use both your head and your heart to guide yourself, and is a steady, reliable guide to lean on when making decisions. the original card depiction has a balance of both the material and the emotional world and symbolizes that you should look at both.
this is absolutely how subaru portrays himself. as i kind of mentioned in the traitor post, i think subaru has some sort of extreme anxiety about his image and how hes portrayed, and i think genuinely he wants to be seen as someone who IS that calm, cool, collected senpai that can be depended upon to act rationally.
i do think it's interesting to point out that when this card is in reverse, it represents irrational actions and decisions, and i feel like we got a little hint of that with the very last scene with subaru under the tree. and the rumor about his past. maybe. potentially. idk i still don't have a solid feel for it just because of how little we know smh
Tumblr media
ritsu - knight of pentacles
last but certainly not least is ritsu!! love this lil freak. pentacles as a suit are about money, yes, but also about worldly possessions of all kinds. their inverse meanings typically have to do with greed and the like.
the knight of pentacles keywords: practical, reliable, hard working, patient, conservative
such a ritsu card right off the bat. the knight of pentacles is a card that when drawn represents long term goals being accomplished by the small daily tasks. it's a knight that's very focused and driven on the present, willing to work through the minutae because he sees that his future will be set thanks to what he's done today
ritsu is someone who is INCREDIBLY hardworking and dedicated, and you can see it in just about everything he does. we're introduced to his long term goal right off the bat and see him taking the steps he needs to every time he's on screen.
great ritsu card 10/10 no notes
(this card when in reverse indicates gambling lmaooo)
and that's all folks! i can't add any more pics on mobile and that's all the tarot cards that have been released as of right now. as more come out, i'll either add them on here or make their own posts or something idk. these were fun though, pretty spot on meanings wise.
as always, asks and dms are open!

Ask and ye shall receive! I am so down for mafia/murder/nightmare ghouls.
Almost 1k words of Mafia Ghouls doing what they do best (it's a real ficlet this time and everything!)
Dew listens to the steady beat of Aeon's breathing in his ear. It crackles through the earpiece—a little distorted because of the distance. There's the occasional sound of his fingers on his keyboard. He hears, distantly, Aurora talking about something in the back ground, but otherwise, everything is quiet.
Swiss stands next to him, smelling like weed and bad intentions. Dew stands, back straight, hands behind his back. One hand curled tightly around his other wrist. He can feel the beat of his pulse against his fingers. Rabbit quick. Nervous.
It doesn't matter how many times he does this, he always has a little bite of apprehension. It's like stepping on stage, the moments before the show starts, the room filled with tension, waiting to burst. Once they start, once the first note is played, or the first drop of blood is spilled, it all settles in. His mind goes quiet, his heart dips to normal levels. But this? The waiting? Torture.
Swiss offers him a cigarette, he takes it to have something to do with his hands even though he can still taste the one he just finished on the back of his tongue.
"He's late," Dew says, lighting up, inhaling, begging the nicotine to do something about the anxiety twisting in his gut.
"He'll be there," Aeon's voice cuts in, low and bored. "Rain said."
"Rain's wrong sometimes. People lie."
Aeon makes a non-committal noise and Swiss grins. Dew glares at him out of the corner of his eye. "What?"
"People are more afraid of Rain than they are of you. If Rain says he's coming—he's coming."
Dew shifts forward and back on his feet, shifting his weight. Eying the desolate parking lot. A good spot for an exchange as any, Dew guesses. No cameras. No streetlights either. He and Swiss are at an advantage there, even with the masks that narrow their vision down, their ghoulish eyes are better than humans.
Dew smokes, Swiss does too. They don't talk. What is there to talk about? It's a job. Get the payment, or don't, and go from there. Dew drops the cigarette, grinds it out with his boot and catches Swiss flexing his fingers. Stretching them out wide and pulling them back into a fist over and over again.
"Still bothering you?"
"I swear that guy had a steel jaw or something."
"Mountain said he didn't—normal bones. You just hit him wrong."
Swiss rolls his eyes. "Yeah, whatever, if things go sideways tonight, it's all you."
"I'm fine with that. Do we think it's going to go sideways?"
There's a barrage of typing on Aeon's end, he sighs. "I mean, does it ever not go sideways?"
A car pulls into the lot, headlights casting over the lot.
"Show time," Swiss says with a wolfish grin. He steps away first and Dew gets to watch the sway of his shoulders as he crosses the lot toward the car. Dew grinds out his cigarette with his boot, and follows.
"10k," Aeon reminds them. "That's what Rain said they agreed on. Any less and—"
"Bash his face in," Dew finishes, "I know."
"Wish there were cameras," Aeons says idly. "I love to watch you work."
"We'll re-enact it for you later, bug." Swiss says, his voice like a whisper directly into Dew's ear. Dew can barely suppress a shudder at the sound.
Aeon wishes there were cameras for other reasons, Dew knows. It makes monitoring a job easier, but it also creates a trail. And Dew doesn't particularly want to spend a night in a jail cell—again. Especially not this close to tour, and with the New Guy around.
The drivers' side door opens and a man steps out. He's Swiss' height, a little narrower in the chest. He's wearing dark jeans and an even darker jacket. He cuts an impressive figure, clean, sleek. The kind of guy normal people know better than to fuck with.
Good thing Dew isn't normal people.
Dew stands a step or two behind Swiss. Lets him do the talking, it's easier. He sizes the guy up as he does. Slips his hand into his jacket pocket and drags his fingers along a set of brass knuckles there—a gift from Aether, who always knows the way to Dew's heart.
Money changes hands. Swiss counts. Dew hears each number in his ear, ticking closer and closer to the right number.
"9500," Swiss stops. He looks up. Dew feels a slow, steady, stream of blissful adrenaline start to creep into his blood.
"You're short."
"It's all I could get on short notice. I can have the rest next week."
Aeon laughs in Dew’s ear.
"You're out of time, man." Swiss says, voice dropping. The man branches. Dew slips his fingers into the brass knuckles. Clenches his fist hard enough to ache.
"Come on, man. It's only 500 bucks."
Aeon scoffs, "fucking moron." There's a pause where Dew hears murmuring in the background, somewhere near Aeon. Then Aeon laughs, bright and easy. "Rain says fuck him up, then tell him the money better be in your hands in two days or you'll break something harder to fix than his face."
Dew doesn't doubt the instruction was relayed verbatim. And he can't say he's disappointed in this outcome. He hates the talking part. The best part of his job is when he gets to get dirty.
He takes a couple steps forward, eclipsing Swiss as he pulls his fist from his pocket. Brass knuckles glinting in the moonlight.
The man begs. They always do. Dew's fist connects with his jaw anyway. When Dew tastes his blood, sprayed back on him when he breaks his nose, it tastes, deliciously, like fear.

Robin's Inside the Pizza Plex DCA Romance Fics
These are fics I've started that take place inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex. The call is coming from inside the plex!
A Door You're Unable to Close:
(tag)
My best friend talked me into coming with her as moral support to her little brother's birthday party. I hadn't wanted to go to that stupid birthday party to begin with and now I'm trapped in a video game, a horror video game that might kill me. I thought at the time that it was ironic that a kid named Greg had gone missing in a Chuck-e-Cheese of all places but this is taking things much too far.
Invisible:
There's nothing like working for a corporation in a capitalist society to remind you that you are nothing but furniture and need not be perceived unless needed. Even the animatronics in this place are treated more human than I am. At least I'm on the same level as the staff bots
that's a plus? Though usually, people prefer to speak with a staff bot over me, so I suppose 'even' is the lie I tell myself. I've worked for Fazbear Entertainment at their pizza plex for about a year. I do a little bit of everything. Cleaning, repair, sales
even security sometimes. Most of the human workers have been replaced with robots to cut down on employee costs. Sometimes I think I'm the last human working here, but then I remember Vanessa still works here too. Sometimes I wonder if they just forgot to fire me or tell me I was fired, but I'm still getting paychecks, so
yeah. The time clock beeped an acknowledgment as I punched in my employee number. "Attention! Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex is closed! Have a pleasant evening!" Sighing, I adjusted my bag on my shoulder and took a long swig of my coffee.
The Star Dome (LateNight DayDreams):
An OC named Fey is a new animatronic that has been added to the plex.
Another Daycare Story:
This is another of your reader x Sun/ Moon Pizza Plex daycare stories. We start with a 20-something individual getting a job in the daycare and having to overcome a fear of animatronics. There will be some angst with Moon. Then the romance will begin. Eventually, we'll hit the events of the game and go through all that fun, but until then, this will be mostly random fluff and angst shenanigans in the loose shape of a story as our main characters fall in love.
Little Assistant:
MC is the assistant to the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. As Vanessa kidnaps and kills children while attempting to bring Springtrap back to life, MC is forced to clean up the mess and cover up the disappearances. MC is also tasked with keeping an eye on the Daycare attendants, keeping them in line as they are forced to help kidnapping children. “Did you do it? How do we know if it worked?” “We’ll have to test out some command code on him. Everything uploaded without issue, but they do have minds of their own. He may put up a fight.” I wasn’t paying attention to the conversation, wanting as little to do with this as I could get away with. They had already forced me to help with so much, cleaning up all that mess, all that red, covering up the disappearance. Shuddering, I looked through the glass into the daycare beyond. Deep in the dark, I could see two red eyes glaring out at us, furious. I couldn’t blame him. The virus they had activated in the night mode daycare attendant was going to be used for something horrific.
Lost Time:
The reader, already in an established relationship with Sun and Moon, dies and wakes 5 years later in the body of an animatronic. The pizza plex was rebuilt after the collapse and fire. Due to some miracle, all of the animatronics had survived the disaster and were now back to work, entertaining the general public as though nothing had happened. After everything fell apart, children stopped disappearing, but the missing children were never found. Business was booming, and everything seemed to be better than ever. With the massive influx of money, Fazbear Entertainment decided to invest in a new animatronic, a drummer for the band, to add to the rock and roll feel of the Glam Rocks. But in the way of all things with Fazbear Entertainment, the acquisition of this animatronic was very confidential. Several none disclosure agreements were signed, and the whole thing was very shady. None of this mattered to me, of course. I was more worried about my new role in life. Well, it was life in a sense. I had finally woken up after 5 years to find myself strapped to a chair in parts and services, having been turned into an animatronic.
Lost in the Dark:
Working third shift for security wasn’t so bad. I spent the first few hours patrolling the halls of the upper floors, that being what I had been assigned. Then I would spend the rest of the night at the security desk in the daycare, cameras pulled up on the computer screens and keeping an eye on the ‘crazy’ animatronics that inhabited that colourful playground. 6 months of working night shift in the daycare, and I am unfortunate enough to have developed feelings for two clueless robots.
Bad Day:
I stopped with my hand on the door. I had come all this way on my day off and now I wasn't brave enough to push the doors open. Today had been a hard one. A nightmare the night before and some rough conversations had made my insides feel all squishy and tender. All I really wanted to do was lay on the floor and cry but something had brought me here, to the daycare.
Taking Time:
They needed a robotics expert and I needed a job. I had been between jobs. I had actually just been let go from my last job and was frantically looking for a new one when I had received an email from Faz Bear entertainment. They were looking for a robotics expert to run their parts and services lab. The pay was phenomenal but I would be the only one working in the lab and would be expected to keep the staff bots, animatronics, arcade games and all the automated systems in working order. I didn’t even hesitate a moment before I sent them a reply and agreed to an interview for the following day. Great pay and an entire lab to myself? Yes please.
Why is it Spicy?:
okay so... this is an AU of my Unpleasant Nightmare fic. I started this as a joke for myself but now we're here. The general idea is the same. Stuck in Security Breach and need to find a way out but Sun and Moon are extra flirty and handsy.
Out of Place:
Fosters and Green is an up and coming robotics company and is the talk of every news station in the world. They haven’t even released their first line of robots yet but people are already clambering to get their hands on a robot made from Foster and Green. They plan on releasing a few household bots that will work as cleaning staff or secretaries but they also plan on releasing a line of child care bots. Why hire a nanny when you can have a live-in one you don’t need to pay. My designated number is D-375, I have been dubbed Kate by the technicians who ran all of my quality assurance checks. My dreams of working with a family of my own were quickly dashed. Foster and Green decided that they wanted to place a bot somewhere in the public eye where people could watch it at work and so had partnered with another company who also made robots, though they specialized more in animatronics that were designed for entertainment. The two companies decided to put one Foster and Green’s N-90 models in the daycare center of Fazbear Entertainment’s PizzaPlex to work alongside the child care units that Fazbear Entertainment had created.
Taking Over:
They needed a robotics expert and I needed a job. I had been between jobs. I had actually just been let go from my last job and was frantically looking for a new one when I had received an email from Faz Bear entertainment. They were looking for a robotics expert to run their parts and services lab. The pay was phenomenal but I would be the only one working in the lab and would be expected to keep the staff bots, animatronics, arcade games and all the automated systems in working order. I didn’t even hesitate a moment before I sent them a reply and agreed to an interview for the following day. Great pay and an entire lab to myself? Yes please. I was hired on the spot. This wasn't surprising seeing as I had worked in robotics for most of my life and had some hands-on experience with these kinds of animatronics. The AI units that Faz Bear uses would be new to me but I was sure I could figure out the new tech quickly enough.
Unpleasant Nightmare:
My best friend talked me into coming with her as moral support to her little brother's birthday party. I hadn't wanted to go to that stupid birthday party to begin with and now I'm trapped in a computer game, a horror computer game that might kill me. I thought at the time that it was ironic that a kid named Greg had gone missing in a Chuck-e-Cheese of all places but this is taking things much too far.
Some of these won't be finished and some are OLD writing of mine. you have been warned. Please don't let that stop you from reading these and enjoying them <3

Reading SVSSS: Chapter 8
Tumblr media
For those who don't know, I am reading SVSSS for the first time and sharing my thoughts!
If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.
Also- if you want to follow along, I am aiming to post updates daily. You can find all the posts in the tag bloopitynoot reads SVSSS. You can also check out the intro post for context on my read.
Tumblr media
I am back! I know it's been a few days, but this week has been the absolute pits at work. Semester start up, new students, ramp up in projects, and alarm testing; it has been A Lot.
I am back though! I'm not going to lie, I am kind of scared that this chapter is titled "death". I may not be emotionally prepared.
No cat pics this week, Charlie has decided to abandon me- but I did break out the pumpkin mug for some pumpkin tea :'3
Here we go!
Tumblr media
I love how Shen Qingqiu seeing this fight and an out of place person is like "only one type of person is like this" and then just doesn't say anything about who/what they are. p143
Wait, why does he toss the cat in there LOL 144
I am actually so glad that Little Palace Mistress got slapped twice! no one knows who actually slapped her- I do wish it was Ning YinYing, but it doesn't say who? (Is this revealed later? or just like left to the imagination?) pp144-145
oh shit! Another sower?!?!? p146
I feel like anytime this guy (shen qingqiu) tries to save himself Without a Cure really just ends up doing him dirty. p147
omg not his right hand again (re: touched by the sower) p148
and now he's (SQQ) being blamed again for yes another death he did not do (Re: toxic demonic poison and the disciple in the water prison). p149
oh no. did Luo Binghe kill Gongyi Xiao too??? I actually liked him (him being Gongyi Xiao) :( p150
oof. again I am so mad that these sects are quick to persecute SQQ without literally any proof. I am once again having flashbacks to MDZS. p152
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh bless Liu Qingge to the rescue (reluctantly lol) p152
and shit, we have Luo Binghe here to snatch his man once again p153
Does Luo Binghe not know Gonyi Xiao is dead? I totally thought Luo BInghe killed him? I am confused- maybe this is revealed later? p153
why do I feel like there is another plot happening Like I get this vibe that Luo BInghe did not actually kill all those people in the Water Prison or those 100 disciples. we'll see I guess? p154
and Luo BInghe is letting him go??? p154
oh gosh! Luo Binghe pulled his sword?!?!? everyone knows about the demon things now. p156
okay now they are going to attempt to "resolve" things. I'm so nervous - these two better talk. It feels like they're always having two different conversations p157
I mean I get it Luo Binghe, If that was my life I too would say "fuck fate" p157-158
wait
oh no
oh no oh no
self detonation??? My heart :'0
why am I crying right now omg
"for all that has passed, I repay you today" p159
what the fuck :'((((((((
Tumblr media
omg the amount of pain that just happened
this boy is fully breaking down and then Ning YingYing stands in to speak up
she really has grown on me as a character. Her evolution in this is so good. Good for her for standing up to literally everyone and talking some sense. pp162-163
oh gosh, it gets worse. And then here is Luo Binghe hearing from his old sect siblings about how distraught and lost SQQ was when they all thought Luo BInghe was dead. p163
Sweet baby boy Luo BInghe, just having an entire breakdown pp164-165
Well fuck.
Fucking hell, is this fool really dead?? Where was the system in all of this- we didn't even hear from it. No rescue or usage of points :(((((
I need it to be tomorrow so I can see what happens next.

do you have the rest of the movie plush collection
yep; I actually got Cori the Sonic BAB when the first movie dropped. hold on i have a video still of the shitty snapcube audio
it was actually a really funny story. I was at the mall in early March 2020. Yeah, you all know what that means– but actually, we were there a week BEFORE all the covid shit went down. You see, I knew Covid was a problem, but it hadn't hit the United States yet. This was while I was in college so I was at the mall with my older sister North and my roommate, we'll call her Kay.
The Build-a-Bear in question was actually almost out of Sonics. I saw one stashed in a lower shelf under the Pokémon and I said "I need to get that for Cori." North said, "The lines are so long though. You don't have to do that now, we can come back later" but God must have spoken to me because I was like "No. I need to get it for her NOW." We legit didn't know Covid was gonna be a thing and our college had already said they didn't plan on sending us home for it (which turned out to be a lie) so I guess it was just instinct or Godincidence or something.
So, there was a massive sale on BABs that day so there were a lot of people. It was a buy-one-get-one-half-off so I utilized that to get both Sonic and a Snubbull for myself. While in line I was frantically texting Cori asking which Snapcube Sonic line was her favorite that didnt have swear words, because I was surrounded by children. I had to call my Mom to get her to answer her texts.
In front of me was a little girl who also had a Snubbull. She was scanning the little screen to try and find the Snubbull sound to put in her new best friend. I joined her bc I was also getting a Snubbull and also I like being helpful. An employee finally came over and was like "Oh, you can only put Snubbull sounds in the Snubbull. You gotta scan the tag like this" and she did that and we hear the WORST fucking noise we've ever heard in our lives. The little girl's eyes widen and she says, "That's awful. I NEED IT." So I had to get one too.
While the little girl was getting her silly little guy stuffed, I finally got my shitty audio into the Sonic and was waiting in line for my turn. Behind me was another little girl who went up to the screen and found "Sally's Song." Kept pressing it over and over to hear the same ten seconds of audio until her Mother begged her to stop.
anyway then the next weekend we got sent home for covid and I actually got to watch the Sonic movie and fell headfirst into the Sonic fandom and now I'm here.
Tails is a slightly less funny story. We went to the mall actually right before seeing the second movie. We were desperately trying to find a good Snapcube line until we remembered seeing Tails Clones in the trailer and decided to put in "This Wall Tastes Like Dirt." Which actually turned out to be way clearer audio for some reason. Anyway what was funny was that while we were there, I saw a little girl make a BEELINE for the Sonic plushie. Like, walked into the store, ZOOMED her way over to the Sonic and yanked it from the container, immediately hugging that thing to her chest. We then saw her older brother (maybe 1-2 years older), very calmly and slowly, walk up next to her and grab himself a matching Tails.
and then I ordered Knuckles online because he was online only which meant I could not put any audio into his paw bc they record that shit over voicemail and I'm not playing a YouTube clip over voicemail that's gonna sound even more like the Spirit Box than Cori's Sonic does. If I had a choice I would've put "how the fuck did we get to egypt" but

Alissa’s pov
Standing in the kitchen I waited on the oven timer to go off to tell me the biscuits I was making would be done, which not surprisingly were my eldest daughter’s favorite thing in the world.  Just like me and Kayce.
My phone rang from its spot laying on the kitchen countertop so I picked it up reading my daughter's name coming up on the screen.  “Hey baby.  Are you on your way here now?”
“Yeah.  Cooper and I left early this morning.  We should be there by dinner at seven.”
Hoisting myself up onto the kitchen island I kicked my legs slightly up and down.  “That’s good to know.  I’ll have Gator cook some of your favorites for dinner.  Does Cooper have any allergies I should know about?”
“No ma’am.” Cooper responded through the phone.
Biting my lip I made a silent note in my head hearing my daughter sigh through her end of the phone.  “Honey, are you okay?  What’s wrong because I can sense there’s something upsetting or worrying you.”
“I’m worried what daddy will think of him.  I mean I’ve never had any boyfriends growing up until now.”
Pausing for a moment I debated on what to say next to my daughter.  She knows her father loves her, but he's also super protective.  “Look sweetie, your father loves you.  He loves his family more than anything else in the world.  So I get why you're worried but as long as your boyfriend is himself and treats you right everything will work itself out in the end.”
“Thanks, mama.  I appreciate the advice.  We'll be there in a few hours.”
Hitting the end call button I hung up with them.  “See you then.” Sliding off the counter I went to help Gator make the dinner we would eat tonight.  My mom, sister, Rip and the rest of our ranch hands would be working to prepare for the branding that would be in the next two or three days.
The spread that would be laid out would be steak, potatoes and biscuits for dessert.
An hour later I heard someone walk behind me before familiar arms wrapped around my waist.  “Who got you to make biscuits hmm?” Kayce nuzzles his nose into my neck kissing the crook of it where my shoulder blade meets my neck.
“Our daughter is coming home for the branding while she's on fall break.” I responded, eyeing his hand that reaches for one of the fresh biscuits until I slapped it away with a spoon. “Hey, no!  Those are for dinner later tonight.  You can't eat them.”
“Ow! I just want one.  Plus you know Tate and Madeline will smell them any minute now.” He rubbed his hand I had previously smacked.
Bending down I opened the oven lid pulling out another tray of biscuits already prepared for what he had mentioned.  “That’s why I made an extra batch.  Now please get out of the kitchen.” Sure enough two sets of smaller feet came barreling down the staircase the second the delightful smell filled the whole lodge.
A few hours afterwards it was exactly seven o’clock. Changing into a simple light blue dress I curled the ends of my hair and slipped on some short black cowgirl boots.  Searching through the house for my husband I finally peaked my head outside the front door seeing him sitting on the front porch swing with a shotgun laying across his lap.  “Kayce John Dutton. What on earth do you think you’re doing with that shotgun?”
“I don't like the wind chimes.  They're gonna go in a second.” He came up with the best lie he could.
Putting my hands on my hips I scowled at him, noticing the particular chimes he referred to had been long gone.  “You mean the previous wind chimes that Beth blew up with that exact firearm over ten years ago.”
“Damn it.” He quickly realized that they weren't gone just like i did.  He avoided my gaze afterwards.  “I don’t want to tell you what I'm really doing with this.”
“Kayce  - tell me you're not thinking of shooting this boy off our porch.” Walking away from the door once I closed it, taking a seat beside him on the swing. He sent me a serious and silent look where I put a hand to my forehead.  “Why do I feel like I married my father nowadays?”
Kayce got slightly offended by my comment.  “Hey!”
“You’re telling me you don't see it in yourself right now.” Meeting his gaze I raised a brow at my husband, knowing he was smart enough to see it.  “We have three kids, one son, and two daughters.  Our oldest daughter has her first boyfriend and you're sitting out here waiting with a shotgun sitting on your lap.  And by my count you'll threaten to shoot him just like my daddy did you when he found out you got me pregnant.”
“I do agree with some of your fathers choices now - he’s here.” Kayce rose from the swing nearly launching me onto the ground hearing a vehicle coming down the driveway.
“Mmm!” I grumbled under my breath getting up from the swing watching someone get out of the driver's side and open the passenger side door revealing our daughter.  It was an old red and white pickup truck.  Kayce currently had the gun pointed up until I pushed my hand down on the long barrel, aiming the loaded weapon to the ground.  “Put the gun down Clyde.”
Kayce rolled his eyes, hating to hear our former nicknames of this town.  “Don’t make me start calling you Bonnie.”
“Thanks.  Mama!” Faith smiled at her boyfriend before noticing me coming down the porch steps.  Extending my arms outward for her she flung herself into my embrace with laughter and happy tears.
Kissing her hair I broke the hug so happy she was home.  “Ooh  I’ve missed you baby.  Now introduce me to this boyfriend of yours.  I can’t believe you told Aunt Beth before me.”
My daughter eyed her boots before tipping her cowgirl hat up slightly, walking us back over to the truck with Texas plates.  “I’m sorry, mama.  But anyhow this is Cooper.  Copper, this is my mother.” He had brown slightly curly hair stuffed underneath a red Texas ball cap, wearing a gray flannel shirt, dark blue jeans and dusty brown boots.
“Nice to meet you, ma’am.” Cooper held out his hand and I shook it gently. “Cooper, Cooper Norris.”
“I’m Alissa.  It’s nice to meet you.”
Cooper nodded lifting his gaze up to the porch with his entire body shivering a something.  “Is he really going to shoot me if I step up onto the porch?”
“Kayce!”
Faith turned her head to seeing exactly what I saw.  “Daddy!”
“Put the damn shotgun down before I come up there and kick your ass.  You’re gonna scare the boy shitless.”
Kayce slowly lowered the firearm glaring at the Texans boy, walking into the house carrying the weapon in hand.  “Just giving him a good warning.”
“So - um that’s my daddy, Kayce.” Faith nervously chuckled.
Raising my hands up I waved the pair up and inside the house, reminding myself to talk with my husband later about this first impression he just gave.  “Don’t worry I’ll make sure there’s no firearms at the dinner table.  Her father really is nice once you get to know him.” The three of us made our way into the house, where the two got settled on the living room couch for a few minutes.
The doorbell rang a few times with it getting thrown opened where I heard my sister in law make a lord entrance with her husband following behind her.  “Where is my biscuit lovin’ niece and this boyfriend of hers at!”
“Aunt Beth.  Uncle Rip!” Faith spun around on her boots, hugging each of them tightly with a huge smile on her face.
Footsteps came around the corner where we saw John and Gator coming out of the kitchen heading to the dining room.  “Dinner is ready and we're eating at the dining table tonight.  Oh so this is your boyfriend, Faithy Rae.  I’m John, her grandfather.”
“Oh god.” Covering my face with my hands I prayed my sister in law wouldn’t run the poor boy off.
Cooper shook John’s hand following my daughter into the dining room.  “Nice to meet you.  I’m Cooper.”
“Is there - a - specific seating or-“  Rip eyed the long table unsure of where to sit.
John took his seat at the head of the table, pointing to the front seat in front of his left arm.  “Wherever you want.  Faith, you and your boyfriend can sit right here.”
“Um Mr. Dutton?” Cooper removed his red Texas Tech ball cap holding it up.
His father in law responded watching Faith sit her tan cowgirl hat on the edge of the table.  “On the table is fine.  It looks formal, Cooper.  But it’s not.  It’s just supper.”
“Rough day at the office again?” Beth asked, seeing the anger written on her brother’s face.
Kayce answered with food in his mouth.  “Work isn’t what is bothering me.”
“Is it because you currently want to throw the Norris boy off our property?” Beth kept firing another question at her younger brother.
John placed his napkin in his lap.  “How about we don’t talk about threatening the boy at the dinner table.”
“Do you have that shotgun hidden underneath the table?” Beth asked.
Cooper stiffened his back up against the chair with his mouth full of food. “What?”
John glared at his daughter.  “What’d I just say?”
“What would you like to talk about, daddy?” Beth slammed her fork down on the table.  “Kayce is obviously uncomfortable about his daughter dating.  She’s his baby girl and his first born.”
John simply said her name.  “Beth.”
“Our house is filled with shotguns and other things.  Oh Cooper, did my niece mention to you that her father is a former Navy seal with advanced training?”
Faith attempted to reassure him that we were a nice family.  “We're just very protective of our family is all.  Family is everything here.  But don't worry he's not going to kill you , right Auntie Beth?”
John grumbled again.  “Beth.”
“If we don’t talk about my brother’s uncomfortable feelings over this dinner we have nothing to talk about.  Are you suggesting that we eat in silence and make it more uncomfortable for Kayce and Cooper.  Is that really what you’re suggesting?”
Rip finished his food quickly, getting to his feet grabbing his wife’s arm tugging her up from her seat.  “Thank you for dinner, sir.  Let’s go check on Carter sweetie.”
“Baby, what are we doing-“ Beth asked before we heard the front door shut behind them letting the whole house fill with silence except for the sound of people eating their food.
Awkward silence fell into the room with everyone staring at one another causing me to get up from my chair going towards the kitchen.  “Who wants biscuits, huh.  And while we eat those , Cooper you can tell us about yourself.”
“That sounds great. Mrs. Dutton.” He responded with my daughter placing her hand over his so he wasn’t as nervous.
This family dinner certainly wasn’t over yet.
